BIO-WARFARE is use of agents of disease for hostile purposes. This definition encompasses attacks on human health and survival and extends to plant and animal crops. Biological warfare has been the focus of billion-dollar investments by the United States military since the 1970’s. VIRUS and bacteria sterilization in a war or disaster zone is a priority for U.S. personnel safety.
“COVID was a wake-up call,” said James Giordano, executive director of the Institute for Biodefense
Research and a professor of neurology at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He studies how bioscience
technologies can be weaponized.
“What COVID really brought into the light is the lack of preparedness for a biological threat, whether it’s
naturally occurring or man-made, or some combination of both.”
In the United States, the patchwork response to COVID-19 caused the pandemic to spin out of control in
every single wave. More than 980,000 Americans have been killed by the virus — a death rate far higher
than those experienced by other wealthy countries.
Giordano said he believes there is an “almost 100 per cent risk” of bioweapons “of some new or novel
sort” being deployed somewhere in the world “within the next five years.”

CURRENT: Bio-warfare Decontamination
High pressure spray with a 0.5 percent hypochlorite
solution, which has been used since World War I,
is currently recommended for decontamination of
all biological agents. Weapons are decontaminated
using household bleach solution, or soap and water.
Working parts and surfaces should be dried and
lubricated after decontamination.
THE FUTURE: Military Grade High Output UV LED device
Designed for fast, clean sterilization of equipment and
personnel in protective gear enabling safe
return into transport or return to base
of operations.
